“Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty.”
Henry Ford
I’ve shared this quote to kick off this post as it seemed incredibly apt as to how I was feeling when I first start even thinking about using AI. I knew, or at least thought I knew something about it, let’s be honest my only experience or insight was the ability to bark out “Alexa open Netflix!”
But, once I started delving in to the possibilities of a platform like Chat GTP, I realised I was completely in the dark. It would have been really easy to think “No, no, not for me!” and pass up on the opportunity to learn, grow and in essence, make life easier.
If the thought of Chat GTP hasn’t scared you off yet, then continue reading where i’ll share some of my insights on how I plan to use it in my coaching practice and provide examples of how it can benefit businesses of all sizes.
So, what is it?
ChatGPT is a large language model developed by OpenAI, operating as a tool that can generate human-like responses to a wide range of questions and prompts.
Here are 3 simple ways you can use ChatGPT to enhance your business and services.
-
Enhancing Customer Support
One of the biggest challenges that SMEs face is providing high-quality customer support, especially when resources are limited. ChatGPT can help SMEs provide more efficient and effective customer support by offering a 24/7 chatbot that can answer customer queries and provide support, without requiring additional staff to manage it.
For example, a client who operates as an online retailer recently looked into setting up a Chat GPT chatbot to handle common customer queries, such as delivery times or product returns. The chatbot could be programmed to answer questions based on the retailer’s existing policies and procedures, and to escalate more complex queries to the customer support team if necessary.
By using ChatGPT to handle routine customer queries, my client would then be able to free up their staff to focus on more complex and growth driven tasks, such as developing new products or marketing initiatives.
By providing a chatbot that’s available 24/7, customers will then all most likely feel like they have instant support outside of business hours, essential to building trust and customer loyalty.

Improving Marketing Efforts
ChatGPT is an amazing aid when it comes to helping SME’s improve their marketing campaign. It can generate content that is engaging, informative, and tailored to their target audience in record speed.
For example, a food and beverage company could set up a ChatGPT chatbot to generate blog posts or social media content about the health benefits of their products. The chatbot could use natural language processing to analyse customer data and generate content that is optimised for specific customer demographics, such as fitness enthusiasts or parents of young children.
By using ChatGPT to generate marketing content, SMEs can save time and resources while still reaching their target audience with engaging and informative content.
